A lot of writing is done in cafes.  A lot of photography is done there too.  Writers and photographers drink coffee, communicate with friends at the table or around the globe, review their work, publish it, get inspired by others.  This series of essays is continuing the tradition.

You come for the companionship, to be with people and also with your thoughts. You may read, write, or type. Many of us are looking at a screen, but we also take in everything around us.

There are drinks other than coffee, food, and almost always, croissants. Together with a latte, it can last you all day!
